How to Restore a Backup in Vista

    • 1). Open the Backup and Restore Center, located in the Maintenance folder within the Windows Start menu.

    • 2). Select "Restore files."

    • 3). Navigate to the backup file. There may be multiple backups of a particular file; choose the correct date of the desired backup to be restored. Select "Add Files" and select the desired files.

    • 4). Select the option to save the file in the same place or select a different folder to save the file. Select "OK" to restore the backup.
