How to Identify Programs That Start at Startup

    • 1). Go to the "Start" menu, click "All Programs" and select "Windows Defender."

    • 2). Click the "Tools" menu option in the Windows Defender's window. Click "Software Explorer" link.

    • 3). Click the "Category" drop-down menu in the Software Explorer screen and select "Startup Programs." Click the "Show for all users" button at the bottom of the window.

    • 4). Look through the items under "Name" in the left section of the window to identify programs that start at computer startup.
