- 1). Turn off your car with the window rolled down on the driver's side. Disconnect all cables on your battery to avoid electrocution.
- 2). Insert a pry tool around the edges of the trim on the inside door panel to take off the trim. Use a screwdriver to take out the screws that hold the interior door panel. With the trim and screws removed, you can lift off the door panel.
- 3). Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the mirror in place. After the bolts are out, take the mirror assembly off the side of the car.
- 4). Remove the screws from the mirror assembly, and then use the screwdriver to pry off the two tabs on the back section of the assembly. Separate the glass mirror from the rest of the assembly.
- 5). Put the new mirror in place by using the tabs to click it on to the back section of the assembly. Insert the new mirror, snapped onto the back section, into the body of the mirror assembly.
- 6). Follow Steps 2 through 4 in reverse order to install the repaired mirror assembly in place on your Audi.
