How to Install Headlight Conversion in the 1991 Chevy S-10

    • 1). Park the vehicle and turn off its ignition. Turn your headlight switch to the "Off" position. Open and secure the vehicle's hood with the support rod.

    • 2). Unplug the wiring harness from the rear of the headlight assembly by depressing the side tabs on the harness and pulling it straight out.

    • 3). Connect the wiring harness you removed to the ballast in the HID headlight installation kit.

    • 4). Unscrew the headlight socket, turning counterclockwise, on the rear of the headlight assembly and disengage the metal retaining clip securing the headlight in place by pressing in the clip.

    • 5). Put on your gloves and pull out the halogen headlight from the headlight assembly.

    • 6). Plug the wiring harness that comes with the ballast into the rear of the new HID headlight bulb. Set the HID headlight bulb in the headlight assembly in the same way the original headlight bulb was placed.

    • 7). Mount the ballast to the rear of the headlight assembly, using the double-sided adhesive pad provided in the HID headlight installation kit.
