How to Reset a HP 60

    • 1). Place a small strip of tape over the copper contacts at the back of the cartridge, covering the two at the top left corner. This isn't needed if you have at least two other cartridges available.

    • 2). Insert the cartridge with the tape over it into the printer, or insert one of your other cartridges into it. Run at least one test page and remove the cartridge.

    • 3). Remove the tape if you are using a single cartridge and place a new strip over the contacts in the cartridge's top right corner.

    • 4). Place the cartridge with the new tape in the printer or insert a third cartridge and run a second test page. Remove the cartridge.

    • 5). Insert the original of the three cartridges back into the printer, or insert the lone cartridge with no tape on the contacts. Run one more test page to ensure the printer reads the cartridge again.
