Let's face it: the world can be a very lonely and depressing place after a breakup.
To make matters worse, you may also be dealing with an ex who feels nothing but contempt for you.
In many ways, this is the absolute worst part of the whole ordeal.
But why would someone with whom you were so close suddenly turn on you like that? If you've done nothing against them, why would they start treating you so poorly?   Well, as hard as this might be to believe, your ex probably still loves you very much.
The reason he/she is treating you so badly likely has more to do with them than you.
Don't fool yourself into thinking that they are unfazed by everything that is going on - in fact, they may be feeling just as bad as you are at the moment.
  Consider this: Their decision to end the relationship likely didn't come easy.
Imagine how difficult it was to call it quits after all this time? You can bet that there was a lot of indecision and agonizing over what to do before they finally broke it off.
Of course, they may have come to their decision without a second thought, but it's unlikely that was the case (unless, of course, you did something that made their decision easy.
  Of course, now that they have actually gone through with it, they are not going to easily change their mind for fear of looking indecisive, wishy-washy, and manipulative.
  So if you're beating yourself up at the moment, thinking that your ex really does hate you, step back for a second and put yourself in their shoes for a minute.
