How to Reset the Resolution on a MacBook

Click the "Apple" menu, select "System Preferences" and click "Displays."

Click the "Display" tab.

Scroll down to the bottom of the "Resolutions" menu. Click the bottom-most resolution, which is the maximum resolution for your MacBook. The resolution will reset immediately.

Click the "System Preferences" menu at the top of the screen and select "Quit System Preferences."
