WeatherBug Browser Bar Removal

    Uninstalling the WeatherBug Browser Bar

    • You don't need to be a computer expert to uninstall the WeatherBug Browser Bar. From your computer's desktop, click on the "Windows" icon (or Start menu) that's usually on the lower left corner of the screen. In the menu, find "Control Panel" and click to open it. A new window will pop up with a variety of options to choose from.

Find the icon called "Programs and Features" and double-click on it to open it. Windows XP users will look for "Add/Remove Programs." Windows Vista users might not have a "Programs and Features" icon in the list. If you are using Windows Vista, look for the "Programs" menu and then click on "Uninstall a Program."

A list of all your programs will appear. Depending on how many programs you have on your computer, it may take a few minutes for the entire list to populate. Scroll down the list until you find "WeatherBug Browser Bar powered by MyWebSearch." Click to highlight it.

On the top of the window, three options will appear: uninstall, change and repair. Click "Uninstall" to remove the WeatherBug Browser Bar program from your computer. You will be prompted to make sure you really do want to uninstall the program. Choose "OK" and the program is uninstalled. You can uninstall any other software from your programs list using this same method.
