How to Change the Headlamp Fuse in the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

    • 1). Pull up on the sides of the lid of the fuse box and remove the lid from it. The fuse box is under the engine hood on the driver's side closest to the front of the vehicle. The box is black.

    • 2). Locate the broken fuse by placing the lead wire of a test light into the small opening on the top of each fuse. Every fuse should turn on the test light except for the broken headlight fuse. Unfortunately, Jeep did not label the fuse box. You can get a cheap test light at most auto parts supply stores.

    • 3). Pull the fuse out of the fuse box with a pair of needle-nose pliers.

    • 4). Push the new fuse into the fuse box.

    • 5). Place the lid on top of the fuse box, and snap it into place.

    • 6). Close the hood of the Laredo, and test the headlamps.
