- 1). Create a file that contains the actual code you want to repeat. This can be written in many coding languages, but due to the nature of databases, you will likely create a PL/SQL code. The code you write will be entirely specific to what you want to do.
- 2). Open the Oracle application on your computer.
- 3). Click "System Administrator," and then click "Concurrent." Click "Program," and then click "Executable." Enter a short name for the program, select the type of execution method you want to use (again this will be specific to your code), enter the path to the path itself. The next options are not required, so amend them if necessary for your script. Press "Enter." The Concurrent Programs window will appear.
- 4). Fill in the additional configurations on this page. These, again, will be specific to what you are using the request for. Ensure that you set the output format, any Oracle options you want to add to the parameter line, the priority (numerically) and any request functions. All of these relate to your database. Press "Enter" and close the window when you are done.
- 5). Click "Security," and then click "Responsibility." Click "Request." Select the group(s) here that you want to use the concurrent program with. Close the window when you are done.
- 6). Click "View," and then "Requests." Click "Submit New Request." Select your concurrent application from the available list. Set up the schedule by choosing when to run the job, the period to run it for and the frequency. Click "OK" when you have finished.
