You can create a Blogger blog post and use the iPod touch virtual keyboard to type the post. You can then post it on your Blogger blog or you can delete it. You can also edit posts. However, you cannot upload or view images. To sign in, just type your Blogger.com email and password and tap the orange "Sign in" button. Pen My Blog requires an operating system of iOS 3.1.3 or later to work on your iPod touch.
- BlogWriter, available on the iTunes store for $1.99, is a blog writer and RSS reader that is compatible with the iPod touch and works with your Blogger blog. It also supports WordPress blogs. You can create a new blog post, edit blog posts and delete blog posts. You can also view and upload images through the application. Follow other Blogger blogs' RSS feeds with the built-in RSS reader.
- Also available as an app to purchase on the iTunes store, BlogPress is compatible with the iPod touch. Log in to your Blogger blog right through BlogPress. Create, edit and delete blog posts using the application. You can also upload images. BlogPress has built-in social networking features, such as connecting to Facebook or Twitter. You can also add saved movies to your YouTube account. There are customization options for changing the font family, size and color. There is an option to save a local draft or save the draft online. BlogPress's newest version is 2.2.4.
- BlogWriter and BlogPress offer free versions of their iTunes applications. BlogWriter Lite and BlogPress Lite are ready to install as apps onto your iPod touch, but do not offer as many features and capabilities as the full paid versions. At time of publication, Google does not offer a specific app for Blogger, even though blogging on Blogger.com is free. IPod Touch users can try the free versions to see if they like the application before purchasing the full versions.
