If you are an amateur photographers and looking to learn the art of photography by using a Sony DSC-W570 in order to get your photos look better, this piece will help you with 3 key tips on photography.
The below mentioned tips are very useful and will help you in making the true utilization of your €eye' while taking photographs.
Tip #1 €" Use the Horizon
Lines that are horizontal are considered to be very relaxing and peaceful. Just imagine a sunset, a flat field of small grass on a summer evening. The horizontal line with little vertical lines does make the photograph more tranquil. You can always employ this technique in case you want your photograph to appear more €relaxing'. All you have to do is look around and see if the screen has lots of horizontal and vertical lines. If the vertical lines outnumber the horizontal lines then position yourself in such a manner that the vertical lines are outweighed by the horizontal lines.
Tip #2 €" Avoid the Center
In the literature on photography it is referred to as the rule of thirds. In simpler words, it means that the photographer must avoid the center while taking the picture of a subject. This is a very essential tip that must be followed immediately with all your photos. Just avoid placing animals, people or anything of importance right at the center. Instead, move it to either right or left; even bottom or top.
Say for instance, while taking the photograph of a person the focal point of interest is the eyes of that person. So, all is required is to avoid placing the person's eyes at the center of the shot. Place it at any other place of your choice.
Tip #3 €" Use Vertical Lines
The opposite of tip # 1 can also be used in order to give a very different look and feel to your photograph. Say for instance, if you want to take a picture of the forest with a wide angle then the horizontal lines will outnumber the verticals one. Hence, you have to get up real close to one of the trees and use the length of it as a large dominant vertical line. The ultimate result will be a picture with a completely changed energy and feel.
This tip is all the more effective while taking a shot of a skyscraper. A wide-angled shot of a number of buildings that will have large horizontal lines will make the picture look mellower, than it actually is. Hence, you must get close to one of the building by augmenting the vertical lines and then shoot and the result will be a picture that will have a more €power' and will stand out.
