- 1). Turn on your television. Press the "STANDBY-ON" button on the DVD recorder's remote control, located in the upper right corner of the device. Tune the television to the input channel that you selected for the DVD recorder during installation.
- 2). Press the "SETUP" button on the remote control, located to the right of the navigation buttons. Use the navigation buttons to highlight the option labeled "Recording." Press the "OK" button, located in the center of the navigation buttons. Highlight the option labeled "Auto Chapter" and press the "OK" button. Select the preferred auto chapter setting and press "OK." Press the "SETUP" button.
- 3). Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button, located underneath the "STANDBY-ON" button; the DVD recorder's disc tray will now open. Place the blank optical disc into the DVD recorder's disc tray, with the label side of the disc facing upward. Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button to close the disc tray.
- 4). Press the "REC MODE" button on the remote control, located four rows below the navigation buttons. Press the button repeatedly until the preferred recording mode option appears on the television screen.
- 5). Use the "CHANNEL" buttons, located three rows below the navigation buttons, to tune the DVD recorder to the channel that you wish to record. Press the "DVD REC" button, located to the left of the "REC MODE" button, to begin recording. Press the "PAUSE" button, located above the "CHANNEL" buttons, to pause or resume recording. Press the "STOP" button, located to the right of the "PAUSE" button, to stop recording.
- 6). Press the "SETUP" button and highlight the option labeled "DISC EDIT." Press the "OK" button. Highlight the option labeled "FINALIZE" and press "OK." Highlight the option labeled "YES" and press "OK." Wait for the progress bar displayed along the bottom of the television to reach "100%." Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and remove the disc from the recorder. Press the "OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray.
