- 1). Click the Windows 7 "Start" button on the taskbar. Click "Pictures" to open the Pictures library.
- 2). Go to the folder containing the pictures you want to put in a zip file. Click a picture or press the "Ctrl" key and click each photo for multiple files.
- 3). Click the right mouse button. Point to "Send to" and choose "Compressed (zipped) folder." Windows will create a zip archive. You should see the file selected with the file name highlighted.
- 4). Type a new name for the archive to assign it a different name. Only change the file name. Do not change the file extension ".zip."
- 5). Double-click the zip archive to open it. If Windows Explorer is the default zip program, Windows will display its contents right in the Explorer window, just like any Windows folder.
