How to Remove Volume Control in Startup

    • 1). Click "Start." Select "Run." Enter "Regedit" without the quotation marks into the "Run" field. Press the "Enter" key.

    • 2). Navigate to the "HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Systray" folder in the Registry Editor.

    • 3). Right-click "Services" in the right-hand panel. Select "Modify."

    • 4). Enter "1B" in the "Value" field. Select "OK" to save your settings.

    • 5). Reboot your computer. Your Volume Control icon in the taskbar will no longer appear.
