- 1). Prepare cupcake batter according to your favorite recipe or package instructions.
- 2). Line a cupcake tin with cupcake liners. If you do not wish to use liners, pour a small amount of vegetable oil on a paper towel, and coat the cupcake tin's cups.
- 3). Fill the tin's cups full of batter. Most recipes call for the cups to be filled 2/3 of the way full; however, to get a fuller top, fill the entire cup. Wipe away any spilled cupcake batter with a paper towel.
- 4). Place in a preheated oven, and bake according to package or recipe directions. You may need a few extra minutes of baking time. When the cupcakes are finished baking, stick a toothpick in the center cupcake. If the toothpick comes out clean, remove the cupcakes from the oven. If the toothpick comes back with batter stuck to it, bake the cupcakes for an additional 5 minutes.
- 5). Let the cupcakes cool completely, then decorate as desired.
