How to Change Power Stroke Fuel Filters

    • 1). Open the hood to access the engine compartment. Locate the fuel filter housing on the top of the engine.

    • 2). Unscrew the top of the filter housing with a large set of pliers. Pull the cover off the housing.

    • 3). Pull the filter out of the housing by hand. Place a new filter into the housing.

    • 4). Peel the o-ring off the cover. Replace with a new o-ring. The o-ring will rest between the last thread and the bottom of the lid.

    • 5). Screw the cover on to the housing with the large pliers. Start the truck and allow it to idle. Close the hood and turn the truck off when done.
