- 1). Press the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Esc" keys at the same time to start the Task Manager.
- 2). Click the "Processes" tab in the Task Manager's window.
- 3). Select "MCatcher.exe" from the list of the processes and click "End Process" at the bottom of the window.
- 4). Repeat Step 3 for "energy.exe" and "tjd.exe."
- 5). Close the Task Manager.
- 1). Go to the "Start" menu, type "Regedit" in the Start Search box and press "Enter" to start the Task Manager.
- 2). Browse to and delete the following registry entries:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MCatcher.DocHostUIHandler

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform "6989019803"
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "Malware Catcher 2009" - 3). Close the Registry Editor.
- 1). Go to the "Start" menu, type "Cmd" in the Start Search box and press "Enter" to start the command-line window.
- 2). Type "regsvr32 /u CLSV.dll" in the command-line window and press "Enter" to unregister the DLL. Type "regsvr32 /u exec.dll" in the command-line window and press "Enter" to unregister the DLL.
- 3). Close the command line window.
- 1). Go to the "Start" menu, type "cb.tmp" in the Start Search box and press "Enter." Delete all search results.
- 2). Repeat Step 1 for "CLSV.dll," "CLSV.drv," "eb.tmp," "energy.exe," "energy.sys," "energy.tmp," "exec.dll," "fix.sys," "PE.drv," "PE.sys," "std.drv," "tjd.exe," "tjd.tmp," "Malware Catcher 2009.lnk," "MCatcher.exe," "vd952342.bd," "mctch.ini," "Instructions.ini," "7c69f0c" and "Malware Catcher 2009."
- 3). Restart your computer.
