- The driver does not connect to the network. A driver is a piece of software that allows the operating system to interface with the hardware. If you have a problem with the driver, in most cases it will prevent you from using the hardware.
- To connect to a wireless network with a D-link AirPlus network adapter, you must install the correct driver. After this you should click on the adapter on the bottom right of the screen and double-click on the network icon to show available networks. Select a network and click "Connect." You can only connect to unsecured networks unless you have the password or encryption key.
- If the driver is not working, go to the D-Link website and click on "Support" and locate and download the newest driver. Installing the driver may fix the problem. You may also have problems connecting if the network you are trying to reach is too far away or if the network is secured or enabled only for certain IP addresses.
