- 1). Download the VirtualCD Control Panel self-extractor from Microsoft's support page (see References).
- 2). Launch the VirtualCD Control Panel self-extractor. Extract the files to the Drivers folder in the Windows System directory.
- 3). Open VirtualCD Control Panel from the Drivers folder.
- 4). Select "Install Driver." Select VCDRom from the System folder in the Explorer window. Click "Open."
- 5). Select "Add Drive." Choose a drive letter for the new virtual drive.
- 6). Click "Mount." Select the image file from the Explorer window. Click "OK." The image will mount onto the virtual drive, which will be accessible in the Computer folder.
