How to Identify Windows XP MSConfig Start-up Programs

    • 1). Click on the "Start" menu and hit the "Run" button.

    • 2). Type in "msconfig" and press "Enter."

    • 3). Open the "Startup" tab at the top of the page.

    • 4). Scroll through the list to see the programs that are loading as the computer starts. The manufacturer of the program will be listed in the column next to the program name, allowing you to quickly identify your start-up programs.
