How to Tell If a Laptop Has HDMI

    • 1). Check the side and back edges of the laptop for connection ports.

    • 2). Look for an HDMI port. An HDMI port is about 1/2-inch long by 1/5-inch tall -- short and skinny. The bottom half of the port's side edges slant inward at a roughly 45-degree angle.

    • 3). Peer inside the port. An HDMI connection has a single wavy, raised connector in the center of the port, parallel to the longer outside edges.

    • 4). Read any labeling near the port. Many HDMI ports are clearly labeled as such.
