How to Hook Up a DVD Player to a TV With Coaxial Cable

    • 1). Position the male end of the BNC connector on one coaxial cable over the female BNC connector located at your cable outlet. Screw the coaxial cable onto the cable outlet until it is firmly in place. Note that you need to use a coaxial cable with enough length to reach your DVD player.

    • 2). Take the unconnected end of the coaxial that is attached to the cable outlet and position the BNC connector over the female BNC connector that is labeled “Cable In” on your DVD player. The connector is typically on the back of the DVD player. Screw the coaxial cable onto this connector until it is firmly in place.

    • 3). Position one end of a new piece of coaxial cable over the female BNC connecter on your DVD player labeled “Cable Out.” This connector is typically located right next to the connector labeled “Cable In.” Screw this coaxial cable onto this connector until it is firmly in place.

    • 4). Take the unconnected end of the coaxial cable attached to the “Cable Out” connector on your DVD player and position it over the female BNC connector on your television set. Screw this end onto the BNC connector on your television set (typically located at the back corner of the set) until it is firmly in place. Note that you need a coaxial cable long enough to reach your DVD player and your television set.
