How to Make a Worn Brown Leather Couch Like New

    • 1). Combine two parts linseed oil and one part vinegar in a small bowl with 1 cup of warm water. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and apply to the couch in a circular motion working from top to bottom. Leave the solution on the couch overnight and wipe clean with a dry soft cloth the next day.

    • 2). Apply a leather recoloring balm to the entire couch working from top to bottom. Do not apply the balm in circular motions but follow the natural grain of the leather.

    • 3). Wipe away excess balm and buff the entire couch with soft cloths. The buffing process sets the coloring of the balm and restores the leather's original luster.
