How to Burn PS1 Backup for PS3

    • 1). Download a disk copy program to your desktop. Two options are the free trial version of Alcohol 120% or the free DVD Decrypter. Double-click the file once downloaded, to start the installation process. Follow the menu commands to install the program on your computer's hard drive. Quit the installer when it says it's done. Restart the computer.

    • 2). Click "Start." Select the disk copy program you downloaded from the "All Applications" menu that appears on the screen. Insert the PS1 game into the disk drive.

    • 3). Select "Open file" from the "File" drop-down menu. Click on the PS1 disk's icon in the left column of the window that appears on the screen. Click the "Open" button at the bottom of the window. Click on the "Speed" drop-down menu on the program's main screen. Select the slowest speed (for example, "4X") displayed on the menu.

    • 4). Click the "Copy" button on the program's main screen. Do nothing until the progress bar fills in from left to right, or a counter goes up from "0" to "100."

    • 5). Click the "Burn" button on the program's main screen. Remove the PS1 game disk from the disk drive. Place a blank recordable CD-R disk in the disk drive.

    • 6). Click the icon of the CD in the left column of the window now on the screen. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. Do nothing until the progress bar fills in from left to right, or a counter goes up from "0" to "100." Quit the program when it is done. Remove the CD copy of the PS1 game disk from the disk drive.
