Hardware Issues

• 1). Click "Start" on your Toshiba TS-L462 laptop, select "Computer" and click on "System Properties."
  
  
• 2). Click on the "Device Manager" hyperlink.
  
  
• 3). Right-click inside the Device Manager and click on the "Scan for Hardware Changes..." button. This will analyze all of the components inside your Toshiba TS-L462 and then tell you which ones are working as intended and which ones are having operational difficulties.
  
  

Software Issues

• 1). Click "Start" and select "Computer" (Windows 7 and Vista) or "All Programs" (Windows XP).
  
  
• 2). Open "Add or Remove Programs" (XP) or "Programs and Features" (Vista and Windows 7).
  
  
• 3). Click on the name of the program that you are having problems with on your Toshiba TS-L462 laptop. You will know you are having a problem with a program if it fails to load when you click its shortcut icon.
  
  
• 4). Click "Change" (XP users) or "Repair" (Vista and Windows 7 users). This will install a fresh copy of your software program over top of the problematic installation on your Toshiba TS-L462, which will fix any software issues you are having.
