How to Prevent AOL From Starting Up When Accessing the Internet

    • 1). Close your web browser.

    • 2). Click on the Windows "Start" menu at the bottom of your desktop and select "Set Program Access and Defaults."

    • 3). Click on the drop-down menu arrow next to "Custom." In the "Choose a Default Web Browser" menu, you will notice that the circle next to the AOL web browser is filled in.

    • 4). Fill-in the circle next to the Internet browser that you would now like to use as your default. Click on "OK" to confirm and save the changes.
