How to Create a Menu Icon

    • 1). Click on the "Start" menu. Select the "Settings" sub-menu. From there, click on the icon that reads "Task Bar and Start Menu."

    • 2). Click on the tab that reads "Start Menu." From this screen, select the button that reads "Customize."

    • 3). Click the "Add" button. This will bring up a utility allowing you to create a new shortcut for placement in the "Start" menu.

    • 4). Click the "Browse" button. This will allow you to search your hard drive for the program or file for which you want to create a new menu icon. When you find it, click on it one time and select the "OK" option.

    • 5). Click "Next." This will allow you to select a location within the "Start" menu where you want your new icon to go. When finished, click "Next."

    • 6). Click the "Finish" button to create your new menu icon. It will now be accessible through your "Start" menu.
