- The nuvi 265T and 265WT come with Garmin's patented City Navigator NT street maps, with over 6 million points of interest that includes locations such as hotels, restaurants, ATMs and fuel stations. The ability to add more maps is included, and their FM traffic receivers send alerts of conditions that may compromise driving such as road construction or rush-hour traffic. Other features include an antitheft system, currency and measurement converters, JPEG picture viewer and a world travel clock with time zones and calculator.
- Both the Garmin nuvi 265T and nuvi 265WT use rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, with a battery life of up to four hours. Each navigator has built-in memory, which can be expanded with the insertion of a Secure Digital Card. Also, the nuvi 265T and 265WT can store up to 1,000 locations.
- The nuvi 265T is 3.9 inches wide, 2.9 inches high and 0.8 inches diagonally, with the nuvi 265WT being about an inch wider. Also, the nuvi 265WT surpasses the 265T in screen size (4.5 inches versus 3.5 inches) display resolution (480 by 272 pixels versus 320 by 240 pixels) and weight (6.1 oz. versus 5.2 oz.).
- Included in the boxes with the nuvi 265T and 265WT are the FM traffic receiver with vehicle power cable, vehicle suction cup mount, USB cable, dashboard disc and quick start manual.
- The original manufacturer's suggested retail price for the nuvi 265T is $179.99, while that of the nuvi 265WT is $219.99. As of June 2010, these devices are still in production, and they can be purchased at outlets such as Amazon.com, Sears, Best Buy and Wal-Mart.
