Guide Review - eGear K2 Grenade LED Lantern

The eGear K2 Grenade is a minimalists dream come true. LEDs are known for their low battery consumption, but it usually took a bunch of them grouped together to get any reasonable light output. Even then it wasn't very bright. The latest innovation is the Luxeon, which has high output for a single LED. Essential Gear put this LED in their K2 Grenade Lantern. This little baby weighs in at less than 8 ounces, it will fit in your pocket, and it's durable and water resistant. There are three switch settings: low, high and flashing. It more than adequately lights up a tent, even on the low setting. It also included a couple of small plastic carabiners for hanging the lantern.

This lantern is perfect for emergencies and general use anywhere. I suggest using rechargable batteries.
