- 1). Mix the detergent with the warm water in a large bucket or bowl. Use a whisk to create suds in the water.
- 2). Remove all bed sheets and covers from the mattress.
- 3). Soak the sponge in the sud filled water. Wring the sponge to drain excess water so only some suds remain on the sponge.
- 4). Rub the water stain gently and lightly with the sponge in a clockwise circular motion.
- 5). Rinse the sponge and squeeze out excess water. Rub the stain again with the sponge, without re-soaking it in the suds, going counter clockwise.
- 6). Rinse the sponge a final time and wring out excess water and wipe down the stain to remove the suds.
- 7). Use a dry and clean towel to pat dry the stain area.
- 8). Open windows in the room to allow air flow. Plug in at least once fan and point the fan in the direction of the stain. Allow the water to dry completely with the air flow.
