- 1). Open the NeroMix application and navigate to the digital audio file to save.
- 2). Click on the audio file to open in NeroMix.
- 3). Click the "record wizard" button and the "file save" navigation window will open.
- 4). Type a name for the new audio file and navigate to the location where the new file will be saved using the navigation tool.
- 5). Select the "WAV (.wav)" file type for the audio file from the "file type" box and click "save."
- 6). Click the "burn" button in NeroMix. The digital audio file will be saved in the WAV format.
- 1). Right-click on the WAV file and select "open with..." from the context menu.
- 2). Click the "Windows Media Player" option to open and begin playing the WAV file in the player.
- 3). Click the down arrow under the "rip" button on the top menu bar of Windows Media Player.
- 4). Select "more options" from the drop-down menu. The options dialog box will launch.
- 5). Click the tab labeled "rip music."
- 6). Click the button labeled "change" to show a file navigation window. Navigate to the location to save the new WMA file.
- 7). Click the button labeled "file name" to select a new file name for the WMA file. Click "OK" when finished.
- 8). Select "Windows Media Audio" from the drop-down list.
- 9). Select "audio quality" by moving the slider bar between "smallest size" and "best quality."

Click the "OK" button. The WAV file will be converted and saved as a WMA file in the specified location.
