- 1). Cut a piece of 20-gauge wire to the desired length of your necklace, plus 1 inch. A choker is typically 14 to 16 inches.
- 2). Drill two holes in the bottle cap, one on the right side at 10 o'clock and one on the left side at 2 o'clock.
- 3). Print a word, saying or picture on paper, and cut it out using a 1-inch paper punch or circle cutter.
- 4). Spray the back of the paper disk with adhesive, and attach it securely to the front of the bottle cap. Keep the holes at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock.
- 5). Cover the paper disk with a clear epoxy sticker, and press out any air bubbles.
- 6). Thread the wire through the two holes in the bottle cap. Pull the cap until it is centered on the wire.
- 7). Thread additional can tabs and buttons onto the wire stacking them flat together until there is a 2-inch section of bare wire at each end.
- 8). Grasp the end of each wire with needle-nose pliers 1/2 inch from the end. Bend the wire forming a U-shaped hook at each end.
- 9). Wrap the wire around your neck, and hook the two U-shaped hooks together to secure the necklace. The medallion should hang in the middle of the front of your neck.
