- 1). Apply a deep conditioner to your hair the night before you reverse the perm. The conditioner will help protect your hair during the treatment process.
- 2). Thoroughly wet your hair. Towel dry the excess moisture from it.
- 3). Saturate your hair with a bottle of perming solution.
- 4). Comb the solution through your hair with a wide-toothed comb. Comb each section of your hair carefully from your scalp to the very ends. Keep combing for 10 minutes or until your hair hangs straight. If your hair isn't straight after 10 minutes, comb it for another five minutes.
- 5). Rinse the solution from your hair with very warm water for three minutes. You must keep rinsing continuously to ensure all the solution is removed.
- 6). Blot your hair dry with a towel. Don't rub your hair or twist it up in the towel to prevent damaging it.
- 7). Rinse off the wide-toothed comb with very warm water for two minutes.
- 8). Saturate your wet hair with a neutralizing solution.
- 9). Comb the neutralizer through your hair with the wide-toothed comb the same way you did with the permanent solution. Keep combing each section of your hair from the scalp to the ends for five minutes.
- 10
Rinse the neutralizer with very warm water. Keep rinsing your hair for five minutes. - 11
