How to Have More Sex in a Christian Marriage

Difficulties can naturally arise in a Christian marriage when it comes to sex.
There tends to be a lot of confusing information out there regarding sexual practice.
How often should intimacy occur? Is there such a thing as too less? Too much? Should we limit ourselves? As Christians should we refrain ourselves from having sex even if we feel the urge? Unfortunately, all these questions tend to lead to one disappointing conclusion: less sex! That is to say that couples can naturally become overwhelmed when it comes to questioning the various aspects of sex within a Christian marriage, and this can lead to the easiest answer becoming that of not having sex at all, or having it very infrequently.
While there is no one size fits all formula for the exact amount of sexual practice couples should partake in, there is a reasonable answer that more frequent sex is in fact the best.
And here's why.
This is the ultimate argument, for why Christians should be having more sex, as frequently as possible.
1.
It is one of the strongest acts of displaying Love in a physical manner.
You want to show your love for one another, right? You want to do this in the strongest way possible, right? Well then sex is the answer.
The physical union between one another does not get any better than sex.
You are touching, feeling, kissing and absorbing each others bodies in the ultimate display of love.
Put simply, the strongest display of love in the physical sense is sex, therefore you must practice it as much as possible in order to share your love for one another.
2.
Celebrate God's gift, don't deflect it.
Sex is a gift from God and if you are not practicing it then you are not appreciating it the way it was intended.
You are actually "deflecting" it.
Think about this for a moment.
You have been giving this amazing gift of intimacy, and you are cowering behind excuses as to why not to have sex.
By not having sex frequently you are ignoring the amazing pleasures granted upon you as a married Christian, and you are deflecting God's gift which was intended to be lovingly practiced, not blatantly ignored.
3.
Frequent sex means the frequent renewal of your love.
(This is the most important point!) To maintain strong Christian values you need to maintain a strong sense of love.
This goes for your relationship with your spouse.
So often in this day and age we can slip into varying degrees of moody behavior.
We also encounter all kinds of problems, roadblocks, and situations which tend to challenge our sense of calm.
These things affect our well being, and the well being of our loved ones.
And when these things escalate to a higher level they can especially affect the perception of love you have for your spouse.
Things get heated.
It happens.
Arguments occur.
It happens.
Obviously we need to get over these roadblock situations as quickly as possible.
So what happens after we sort out our differences and develop some mutual agreements over a particular incident? The next step of course, is to kiss and make up.
My argument is, that's not enough.
The ultimate renewal of love, the one act that will truly unite the both of you back to that strong bond of marital union, both physically, mentally, and spiritually, is indeed sex! It really is the ultimate renewal of your love.
Not only that, but it prevents arguments or roadblocks from occurring in your relationship in the future.
That last line is worth repeating: Frequent sex can prevent future problems in your marriage, can lessen or eliminate arguments, and can ensure that your love for one another is continually being renewed, thus ensuring you have the strongest Christian marriage possible!
