How to Get Rid of Plastic Bags

    • 1). Donate the bags to your local food bank. Food banks typically operate off of donations, and that includes the bags used to hand out groceries.

    • 2). Check your local supermarket for a recycling bin. Many grocery stores have a drop-off bin near the entrance to the building where you can place your old grocery bags. The bags are then recycled and repurposed.

    • 3). Drop the bags off at your local recycling facility. Most of these facilities recycle plastic, making it easy to drop off all of your plastic bags and allow the facility to properly handle the items from there.
