- 1). Open the joining ring of a clasp with needle-nose pliers. Hook the end around the end of a wrist chain. Close the joining ring with the pliers. Do the same with a single joining ring on the other end of the chain.
- 2). Cut sets of embroidery cords of two separate colors, three times as long as the chain. Align the strands next to each other. Holding both sets of strands together, make a loop in them near the end. Feed the loose end of the strands through this loop and pull it tight to create an overhand knot. This knot secures all the strands together at one end. Separate the strands coming from the knot into their separate color groupings.
- 3). Place the chain on a flat surface and lay the threads on the left of the chain. Pull the first color under and through the first link and fold it over the left side. Feed the second color over this strand, under and through the first link and fold it over the left side. Continue to repeat the steps in each link of the chain until you reach the end.
- 4). Make a loop in the end of the thread. Feed the loose ends of the thread grouping into the loop and pull the knot tight. Repeat the weave with more embroidery cord on the other side of the chain links if you desire.
