- 1). Measure the person's wrist or ankle for whom the bracelet will be made. Add that number plus 1. This tells you how long the bracelet should be.
- 2). Draw a line on your paper that corresponds to the length of your bracelet.
- 3). Pick out beads for each bracelet.
- 4). Line up your beads in front of you on your penciled line in the order that they will go on your bracelet, making certain that the holes of one bead are touching holes of the beads on either side of them.
- 5). Decorate each bead with paint if you want the bracelet to be colorful. Set aside to dry.
- 6). Decorate the beads with small stickers or glitter glue on the half of the bead that will be worn away from your skin if you choose that option.
- 7). Paint a letter on each bead that spells out a word or name, if you want lettering on your bracelet. After the paint dries, turn the letter face down and paint another of the same letter on the underside in case the bead turns while the bracelet is being worn.
- 8). Cut a 12-inch length of cord. Place a piece of tape at one end, making about a 1-inch square of tape that engulfs 2 inches of cord.
- 9). Hold the cord up from the other end and thread your beads gently in succession onto the cord. Lay the bracelet down when all of the beads are on the cord and verify that this is the desired order and placement of each bead.

Carefully remove the tape from the cord end, taking care not to let any beads drop off the cord. - 11
Pick up the two ends of cord and tie together. Tie again, this time wrapping one cord around the other twice. - 12
Dab the knot with clear nail polish or glue. Set to dry. - 13
Tuck the cord ends into bead holes so that they can't be seen.
