- 1). Select a location to place the camera. The location should be free from any obstructions, and provide a clear line of sight to the area under observation.
- 2). Secure the camera to its power source. Depending on the location, this can be done either by plugging the camera into a wall outlet, or by using batteries. If using batteries, rechargeable would be suggested as they can over a period of time to help reduce the cost of maintaining the system.
- 3). Remove any devices, such as cellular phones, radios or similar wireless devices that may interfere with the reception of the camera's signal. This is not an issue if using a camera that connects via a coaxial cable to a signal receiver.
- 4). Place the wireless camera in a location close enough that it is within the range of the receiver that is suggested by the manufacturer. Being too far from the receiver can result in poor reception, or a complete loss of signal.
