How to Disable a Linux PCI Device

    • 1). Open a terminal window by clicking on the icon that looks like a dark computer screen with a command prompt.

    • 2). Type “lspci” into the terminal window and press "Enter." A list of PCI devices installed in your computer will come up. Find and copy the exact name of your device from this list.

    • 3). Type “sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist” into the terminal window and press "Enter." A list will pop up. Copy the exact name of the device from the first list to the bottom of the new list you’ve just opened. Press "Enter" again. Now the device will not be activated when you start up your computer in Linux.
