- 1). Inspect the pillow for any holes or rips. Don't wash the pillow if you see any weak spots. The pillow could come apart in the wash, filling your machine with feathers.
- 2). Put two pillows in the machine, and fill it with warm water. Wash two pillows at a time to balance the machine. Add a small amount of laundry soap. Use the minimum recommended for a small load.
- 3). Wash the pillows on a delicate cycle. Rinse the pillows twice.
- 4). Remove the pillows from the washing machine, and put them into the dryer. Add two clean tennis balls to help fluff the pillows as they dry.
- 5). Dry the pillows on a delicate cycle. You will probably need to run them through two cycles to dry them completely. Make sure the pillows are thoroughly dry. Wet pillows will start to grow mildew.
- 6). Fluff and shape the pillows by hand.
