Know the right timing for sex to boost your chance of conceiving boys.
Although there is never a 100% when it comes to natural baby gender selection, there are certain things that you can do to increase the possibility of conceiving boys - those little adorable rascals that you cannot wait to hold.
Let us first take a quick peek at the two sex-determining chromosomes, the X-chromosomes and the Y-chromosomes.
Females usually have two X-chromosomes while males usually have one X along with a Y-chromosome.
We shall call the X and Y-chromosome the girl-sperm and the boy-sperm respectively.
Conceiving boys is possible only when the boy-sperm swims its way and penetrate the egg first, before the girl-sperm does.
Sperms generally have a lifespan of about 5 days once they enter the fallopian tube.
On the other hand, the egg has only about 24 hours for fertilization.
This means that the sperms that have been in the female reproductive tract for 5 days can still fertilize the egg.
However, they die in only a few hours when in the vagina.
In the open air, they die very quickly.
The boy-sperm is small and agile but, it has a shorter life-span.
On the other hand, the girl-sperm is bigger and slower but lives longer.
As such, if sexual intercourse is at the certain timing, it will enhance the chance of conceiving boys or girls, the gender you hope to have.
Generally, there is a certain fixed period in the monthly menstrual cycle where there will be a period of about 5 days when the woman will be most fertile.
About 3 days before ovulation and a day after ovulation, with some slight variation for some women.
Keeping in mind the above information about the life span of sperms and the characteristics of the boy-sperm and girl-sperm, it means that in conceiving boys, you need to time sexual intercourse on the day of your ovulation so that the boy-sperm that do not live much longer than around 24 hours can zero in to the egg before the time expires.
So, chart your menstrual calendar to take note of your ovulation and make a date for intimacy when you find slippery and white mucous discharge that is your ovulation time!
