Bed Head Candy Fixations Glaze Haze by TIGI
About.com Rating
Bed Head's Glaze Haze, a part of the sugar sweet Candy Fixations line by TIGI, is intoxicatingly sweet to the senses while it coats your hair in a frizz fighting, shine infusing treat. Glaze Haze is designed to fight humidity, enhance shine, combat frizz, nourish, moisturize, strengthen, and speed up the blow dry time of your hair. It's designed to be light weight, but tough enough to tame thick hair.
How to Use Glaze Haze
Glaze Haze is a simple addition to your regular hair routine. It comes in a small cylinder container with a pump at the top that delivers a small amount of product with each pump. Short, fine, or thin hair only requires one pump, while long, thick, or course hair may need two to three pumps. After shampooing and conditioning the hair, towel dry, and then emulsify the product in your hands and apply to the hair. Concentrate the product at the ends of the hair first and gently work the product through to the midshaft. If you have very fine or if your scalp has a tendency to get oily, you'll want to keep the product off of your scalp and away from the hair nearest your scalp.
Glaze Haze can be used in addition to your regular hair products. I recommend applying the product to your ends before you even comb your hair, as it works as an excellent detangler. It's also a perfect product to cocktail with other products that may be a little too sticky, like gel or mousse. Mix Glaze Haze in with your other wet styling products to increase shine, reduce frizz, and add a little strength to the styling products you're already using.
It can also replace the smoothing or anti-frizzing products that you're already using.
Glaze Haze can also be used on dry hair as a post-styling aid. Add a pump to your hands and smooth over your dry hair to tame fly-a-ways and manage frizzy ends after styling or blow drying.
A word of caution: a little goes a long way with this smoothing product. Too much product could result in oily or greasy hair.
Does Glaze Haze Work for All Hair Types?
Glaze Haze is designed for all hair types. It works great for most "normal" hair textures, but if your hair is very fine or very course/frizzy, I would recommend finding a more texture specific hair serum that will better meet your needs. For little to moderate frizz on most normal/average hair types, Glaze Haze is good addition to your daily styling. Like I said before, Glaze Haze is a great product to mix in with the products you're already using to increase moisture, shine, and fight frizz.
Glaze Haze is fortified with sugar cane extract, rice bran oil, bamboo extract, and cashmere keratin to increase your hair's strength, add moisture, amp up the shine, prevent breakage, and create soft frizz-free locks.
Would I Recommend Glaze Haze?
I'll be honest, of all the products in the Candy Fixations line, this one ranks lower on my list, and not because it's a bad product, but only because there are other hair oils and smoothing serums that I think do a much better job. While I love to cocktail Glaze Haze with other styling products, I wasn't as impressed with the product as a stand-alone smoothing serum. It does a decent job, and if you don't have challenging hair, its got the perfect amount of smoothing power to add softness and shine to your hair while protecting your hair from humidity and frizz. Plus, it gives your hair a sugar sweet smell that lingers all day. It worked great in my very average (not too thick, thin, course, or fine), relatively frizz-less hair, but wasn't one of those products that I simply couldn't live without.
If you hair is rather challenging (fine, course, frizzy, or otherwise crazy), I'd recommend looking into a smoothing serum that's designed for your hair type.
