How to Clean Non-Allotment Tile Floors

    • 1). Remove the surface dirt and debris from the tile flooring with a broom and dust pan.

    • 2). Create a solution of 2 cups of cool water and 1 capful of rubbing alcohol. Pour the solution into a clean spray bottle.

    • 3). Spray the grout with the solution and scrub with a toothbrush. Wipe the rubbing alcohol mixture off the grout using a damp cloth. Continue scrubbing until all grout is cleaned.

    • 4). Fill a 5-gallon bucket with 1 gallon of cool water. Add 1 cup of white vinegar to the water.

    • 5). Dip a sponge mop into the bucket. Wring out the excess mixture back into the bucket.

    • 6). Scrub the tiles with the sponge mop. Work in small sections at a time. Scrub the floor in a back-and-forth motion. Start at the end of the room farthest away from the entrance and work toward the entrance.

    • 7). Rinse the sponge mop in the bucket whenever the mop gets dirty or dry.

    • 8). Allow the tile floor to dry completely.
