- 1). Trace the mitten patterns to the 12 by 12-inch sheepskins. Each pattern will need to be traced twice, one on each square, to have the front and back side of each mitten. Use a fine-tipped permanent marker to trace the patterns over.
- 2). Cut the four patterns out of the sheepskin using sharp scissors. Separate the four patterns into two groups, one group for each mitten and place the two sections outside facing in against each other.
- 3). Pin both sets of sheepskin together using straight pins. Apply pins around all edges except the opening section. The opening of the mittens does not get sewed, allowing you to easily insert your hand into the mitten.
- 4). Sew around the edges of the mitten, starting at one side of the mitten opening and working your way around to the opposite side. Repeat with the second set of sheepskins.
- 5). Remove straight pins from the edges and flip the mitten inside out so the outside of the mitten is facing outward. Insert your hands into the mittens.
