- At the early-elementary or elementary-school level, students can color a picture of a wolf. Put a "W" on the coloring page to remind early-alphabet learners that wolf begins with the letter "W." Ask the students to cut out pieces of construction paper and glue them together to create a wolf. Another option is to distribute paper bags and have the students create wolf puppets for a puppet show.
- Sculpt a wolf mask using paper or clay to decorate the house or for an upcoming play. Create sculptures as a gift for a wolf fan in your life or to dress up your house for Halloween. In the classroom, allow children to get creative with this project. Provide a variety of materials, such as building blocks, play-doh, pipe cleaners and twigs, and ask the students to create a wolf model using those materials.
- Follow a wolf sewing pattern from Deviant Art or other online websites to create a stuffed animal for your child or for a friend's children. If you are very crafty, purchase a sewing pattern of tiny wolves from a local craft store or create your own. You could make a variety of items with wolves on them, ranging from decorative throw pillows to a t-shirt with a wolf on it to a blanket for a friend.
- Add some art into your baking. Purchase wolf cookie cutters online or at a local craft supply shop. After creating and baking the different wolf shapes, allow your children to decorate them. They might simply use grey icing for the fur and leave it at that, or they could make a cartoon wolf with different small candies for the eyes, nose and mouth. Draw a wolf on a sheet cake using icing as a birthday surprise.
