Hi, I'm Linda Mendoza from Fantasies Hair Salon, and today I'm going to share with you some tips and techniques on how to do a messy poofy ponytail. So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to apply my dry shampoo all throughout the hair to add a lot more volume than what the normal teasing would do. So I'm going to apply from underneath and upwards to touch my roots okay and I'm going to evenly spread throughout the hair. Great, now what I'm going to do is I'm going to tease really big sections of hair all throughout the hair, starting from the front, bringing the hair upwards and teasing in big chunks until we reach about halfway down our hair. Now for these back sections you can tease both from the front and from the back and once we finish teasing, we're just going to nicely bring the hair back and smooth it out, fluff it out with your fingers to have the volume nicely be distributed throughout the hair and we're going to spray over the top just a little bit so the hair can nicely be directed when we're ready to pull it back. Great, so now what we're going to do is we're going to grab the whole hair and we're going to nicely bring it together creating a ponytail. And when you grab it nice and tight you want to mess with the back of the ponytail and now we're going to tie it with a hair tie. You want to spread the hair in the back and with a small piece of hair you want to wrap it around your ponytail holder to hide that ponytail holder, pin it down and now we're going to even out our pump and smooth everything towards the back, with the back of our rat tail comb we can bring our hair out, that needs to be broadened out a little bit to match out the rest of our hair.
