- 1). Wipe the windows with a damp washcloth to remove dirt and debris. Spray exterior windows with a garden hose to remove dirt easier.
- 2). Combine 3 cups of warm water with 1 cup of ammonia. Dampen a washcloth in the solution and wipe the windows with the solution.
- 3). Dry the windows with a window squeegee that has a rubber edge. Start at the top of the window and press the squeegee on the glass at an angle so that only 1 inch of the rubber presses on the glass.
- 4). Wipe the squeegee with a damp towel after each swipe on the window. Avoid drying it with a dry towel because the squeegee may skip over areas on the glass.
- 5). Wipe any remaining wet areas on the window with a microfiber towel.
