- 1). Cut the cardboard into a 5-inch rectangle.
- 2
Taping the yarn to cardboard and wrapping it.
Unroll the yarn. Tape one end of the yarn to the center of the cardboard. Begin winding the yarn around the cardboard twenty times, keeping the loops right next to each other. Cut the yarn after the last loop. - 3
Keep the loops next to each other while you slide them off the cardboard. Carefully remove the tape and discard. - 4
Cut a 4-inch piece of yarn. Place the looped yarn on top of this piece of yarn and tie the looped yarn in the center. - 5
Take a hold of each of the individual loops one at a time. Begin fanning them out in a circular fashion so that the whole arrangement resembles a daisy. - 6
Cut a 2-inch circle of felt in a matching or complimentary color. Using a glue gun, glue the felt circle onto the daisy’s center. - 7). Use completed daisies as package decorations. For example, you might wrap a package in plain brown paper and glue three yellow daisies with dark brown centers on top. Flowered wrapping papers look particularly attractive when daisies made from the same colors top the package. Presents wrapped in white paper become something special when black daisies with red centers are used as package decorations.
- 8). Cut a length of wide ribbon long enough to place on your table like a runner. Glue daisies in matching or complimentary colors all along the length of the ribbon. You might also stitch matching yarn daisies onto short lengths of green elastic to use as napkin rings.
