How to Copy Music to a CD for Free

    • 1). Insert the CD you want to copy into your CD-ROM. Open your media player.

    • 2). Click "Rip" or "Import" to add the music from the CD to your computer. You can then make a playlist to burn onto a blank CD.

    • 3). Select (or highlight) all files and drag to the "Burn" list on your media player from the general library. Make sure that the length of the playlist will fit on the blank CD. Read the packaging of the blank CDs to see how much music each CD holds. This will be measured in minutes.

    • 4). Insert the blank CD into the CD-ROM and click "Burn" (or similar wording) to add the files to the CD. The CD will eject when completed.
